Potential Number Of Units Affected : 7800

Summary: CERTAIN R&B, INC. CENTRAL MULTIPORT FUEL INJECTION (CMFI) FUEL RETURN LINES, MODELS HELP 55163, NAPA BALKAMP 700-3270, AND THE CONNECTION 2560001, SOLD FOR USE AS REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR THE VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. THE FUEL RETURN LINE HAS A MECHANICAL BLEED VALVE WHICH WAS NOT INSTALLED AT THE PROPER TORQUE.

Consequence: A FUEL LEAK CAN OCCUR AT THE VALVE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A FIRE.

Remedy: R&B, INC. WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND AT THE CUSTOMERS REQUEST, EITHER REPLACE THE FUEL LINE OR OFFER A FULL REFUND. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 4, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT R&B, INC. AT 215-712-5330.

Summary: CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.7 LITER ENGINES AND MK25E BRAKING SYSTEMS MAY EXHIBIT INADEQUATE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE REAR BRAKE TUBES AND THE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION TUBE. CONTACT BETWEEN THE BRAKE TUBES AND EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION TUBE OVER AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME MAY CAUSE THE BRAKE TUBES TO WEAR THROUGH AND CAUSE A BRAKE FLUID LEAK.

Consequence: THIS CAN RESULT IN A DECREASE OF BRAKING FORCE AND THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE REAR BRAKE TUBES FOR DAMAGE AND REPLACE THEM FREE OF CHARGE. A CLIP WILL ALSO BE INSTALLED TO SECURE THE BRAKE TUBES TO THE RIGHT FRONT SHOCK TOWER TO MAINTAIN PROPER CLEARANCE TO THE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION TUBE. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT YET PROVIDED AND OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.

Summary: ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, THE FLAME ON THE COOKING RANGE MAY BE FORCED DOWNWARD OVER THE BURNER OR FLAME OUTAGE MAY OCCUR WHEN THE COOKING RANGE AND FURNACE ARE OPERATED AT THE SAME TIME. THIS CONDITION IS DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF A MISSING CABINET PANEL THAT ISOLATES THE FURNACE RETURN AIR.

Consequence: IF THE FURNACE IS OPERATED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE STOVE AND THE CABINET PANEL IS MISSING, THE STOVE FLAME MAY GO OUT AND THE PROPANE GAS WILL CONTINUE TO FLOW, WHICH HAS THE POTENTIAL TO IGNITE RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURY OR VEHICLE AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE CABINET ASSEMBLY FOR A CABINET PANEL AND INSTALL ONE IF NECESSARY FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON JUNE 2, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT WINNEBAGO AT 641-585-6939.

Summary: ON CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH DETROIT DIESEL SERIES C-60 ENGINES, THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE (ECM) WILL REQUIRE TO BE REPROGRAMMED TO CURRENT MAINFRAME CALIBRATIONS.

Consequence: REPROGRAMMING THE ECM WILL PREVENT THE POTENTIAL OF A TURBOCHARGER FAILURE FROM PROGRESSING TO AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE.

Remedy: MONACO IS WORKING WITH DETROIT DIESEL AND WILL REPROGRAM THE ECM TO CURRENT MAINFRAME CALIBRATIONS FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DETROIT DIESEL AT 313-592-3708 OR MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.

(5) MASTERBUILT MANUFACTURING INC. RECALLS ELECTRIC SMOKERS FOR FIRE HAZARD

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: Electric Smokehouse Smokers

Units: About 10,700

Manufacturer: Masterbuilt Manufacturing Inc., of Columbus Ga.

Hazard: Smoldering wood chips used in the wood chip box can ignite into flames when the door of the unit is opened, posing a risk of burn injuries to users and property damage to nearby combustibles.

Incidents/Injuries: Masterbuilt has received two reports of units that were damaged as a result of wood chip flare-ups. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Description and Models: The smokers cook food slowly at lower temperatures and use wood chips to produce smoke inside the unit for flavor. Wood chips are placed inside the smoker and heated using an electric burner element to produce smoldering coals. The electric smokehouse model ESQ30B has a black powder coated outer shell with the Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse logo on the front door. The electric smokehouse model ESQ30S has a stainless steel outer shell with the Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse logo on the front door. The model number is located on a metal plate on the back of the unit.

Sold at: Sporting goods stores sold these smokers nationwide from July 2005 through May 2006 for between $200 and $250.

Manufactured In: China

Remedy: Consumers should stop using these smokers immediately, and contact the firm to receive free repair kit.

(6) NEXGRILL INDUSTRIES GAS GRILLS RECALLED DUE TO FIRE HAZARD

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: Nexgrill Gas Grills

Units: About 16,000

Manufacturer: Nexgrill Industries Inc., of City of Industry, Calif.

Hazard: The gas grill has a hose that connects the propane tank to the burner manifold. If this hose runs up too close to the firebox, the heat can cause the hose to detach from the burner manifold, causing a gas leak and a fire hazard.

Incidents/Injuries: Nexgrill has received 31 incident reports, including 28 fires, three hoses melting, two cases of property damage, and four injuries.

Description: The recalled product is the Nexgrill Model 720-0025 Gas Grill. The stainless steel grill is designed to be used with propane gas. The name of the grill is located at the left corner of the exterior of the main burner lid. The serial number is printed on the CSA sticker which is located behind the door. A temperature gauge is located at the center of the main burner lid.

Sold at: Target, Costco Canada, H-E-B, Chase-Pitkin, and Gander Mountain stores nationwide from December 2003 through March 2005 for between $499 to $599.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the gas grill immediately and contact Nexgrill to receive a free, self-installation retrofit heat shield assembly.
