LEXAR JUMPDRIVE® COMPUTER STORAGE DEVICES RECALLED FOR BURN HAZARD, CERTAIN MODELS INVOLVED
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: Lexar JumpDrive® FireFly and 1GB Secure II Units: About 66,000 Manufacturer: Lexar Media Inc., of Fremont, Calif. Hazard: The recalled JumpDrives® FireFly and Secure II products could overheat, posing a risk of burns to consumers and property damage. Incidents/Injuries: No incidents or injuries have been reported. Description and Models: The recalled drives are high speed flash drives used to store, transfer and carry data from one computer to another. This recall only includes Lexar JumpDrive® FireFly which is sold in various colors, and Lexar JumpDrive® Secure II 1GB which has a metallic silver housing. “Lexar” is embossed on the front of the plastic housing and the capacity is marked on the back. The part number is located on the FireFly’s packaging, and on the back of the Secure II 1GB drive.

Sold at: The recalled JumpDrive® Firefly drives were sold at discount department, office supply, and electronics stores, and by Web retailers, including www.lexar.com, between April and May 2006 for between $30 and $110. The recalled JumpDrive® Secure II 1GB drive was sold exclusively at Fry’s Electronics in May 2006 for about $80. Manufactured In: China Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled JumpDrive® Firefly and Secure II devices and contact Lexar to receive a free replacement product. HUSQVARNA OUTDOOR PRODUCTS INC. RECALLS LAWN TRACTORS FOR FIRE HAZARD
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: Lawn Tractors Units: About 174,000 Manufacturer: Husqvarna Outdoor Products Inc., of Augusta, Ga., formerly known as Electrolux Outdoor Products Inc. Hazard: The fuel line on these lawn tractors can separate from the fuel tank outlet. If this occurs, fuel will spill out, posing a fire hazard. Incidents/Injuries: Husqvarna Outdoor Products Inc. received 886 reports of fuel lines that separated from the fuel tank outlet and 16 reports of fires related to this issue. There are three reports of minor personal injury. Description: The lawn tractors were sold under the Husqvarna, Craftsman, Poulan Pro, Poulan, Weed Eater, Southern States and Murray brand names. Recalled tractors’ product, model and serial numbers are listed in the chart below. To determine if a tractor is included in the recall, check the lawn tractors’ product, model and serial numbers, located on a label under the seat of the tractor.

HUMIDIFIERS RECALLED FOR FIRE HAZARD
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: Warm Mist CareFree® Humidifier Units: About 29,000 Manufacturer: Hunter Fan Co., of Memphis, Tenn. Hazard: Water from the humidifier can leak into the unit’s electrical compartment posing a fire hazard. Incidents/Injuries: Hunter has received four reports of incidents involving the humidifier, including one report of minor property damage. No injuries have been reported. Description and Models: The recalled humidifiers are white or black plastic with blue or green tinted water tanks. “Hunter” and “NiteGlo” are printed on the humidifier. The model numbers and tank size included in this recall are listed below. The model number is located on a white label on the bottom of the humidifier.

BUNN-O-MATIC CORP. EXPANDS RECALL OF HOME COFFEEMAKERS DUE TO BURN AND FIRE HAZARDS
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced an extension of a voluntary recall of the following product, initially commenced in June 2005, to include the additional date codes specified below. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: Bunn® home coffeemakers (Note: This recall is an expansion of an earlier recall announced in June 2005.) Units: About 561,000 Manufacturer: Bunn-O-Matic Corp., of Springfield, Ill. Hazard: The coffeemaker’s plastic pour-in bowl and lid can melt or ignite due to an electrical failure, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: Bunn-O-Matic has received 16 additional incident reports involving the bowl or lid melting or igniting in these units, including seven reports of minor property damage. No injuries have been reported. Description: The recall involves Bunn® home coffeemakers with model numbers GR-10B, GR-10W, B-10B, B-10W, and BT-10B (including any of those same model numbers ending in the additional letter D) with six-digit date codes (1) ending in “04” with the two middle digits between “21” and “52” or (2) ending in “05” with the two middle digits between “01” and “40”. (If the date code has a seventh digit, consumers should ignore the last digit and use the first six digits.) The model number and date code are stamped on a small white or silver sticker on the bottom of the coffeemaker. The 10-cup Bunn® coffeemakers have either a black or white plastic base and top, and measure 14 ¼-inches high by 7-inches wide by 13 ¾ -inches deep. The word “BUNN®” is printed on the front of the machine in chrome. Sold at: Department and hardware stores nationwide between May 2004 and January 2006 for about $100. Manufactured In: United States Remedy: Consumers should unplug the coffeemaker and allow it to cool (for at least three hours) before checking if they have one of the recalled units. Consumers can contact the firm to obtain a free factory repair, a free in-home repair kit, or purchase a new unit at a discount.
