Term of the week:

Trailer

the linear fire pattern produced when combustible fuels are lined up intentionally by a firesetter for the purposes of more rapidly spreading fire throughout a space. The trailer can be a line of solid fuels, such as bedsheets, and/or a pour of ignitable liquid. The fire pattern produced by a trailer is often a line burned into the floor material. Unburned fuels may also remain.

For more information on this term, see the interFIRE VR Resource File article: Examples of Fire Patterns: Ignitable Liquid Pour Pattern
