(1) 1991-1992 ACURA LEGEND RECALLED

NHTSA published a recall affecting the 1991-1992 Acura Legend cars manufactured between September 1990 and August 1992.

Vehicles equipped with a Bose audio system could overheat, resulting in smoke or the possibility of a fire.

(2) BUICK SKYLARK, OLDSMOBILE ACHIEVA, PONTIAC GRAND AM RECALLED

NHTSA published a recall affecting 1994-1995 Buick Skylark, Oldsmobile Achieva, Pontiac Grand Am manufactured between May 1993 and June 1995.

If the engine starter fails to engage and the driver holds the key in the "start" position for an extended period, high current flows through the ignition switch, producing heat that can melt switch parts.

A fire could occur in the steering column.

(3) MERCURY COUGAR CARS RECALLED

1999-200 Mercury Cougar automobiles manufactured between December 1997 and September 2000, equipped with 2.5-liter V6 engines, the battery cable was misrouted and its attachment to the alternator cable was under-torqued.

If misrouted, cable could contact the power steering line resulting in an electrical short. Could potentially result in a fire.

NHTSA published a recall affecting the 1991-1992 Acura Legend cars manufactured between September 1990 and August 1992.
