Seattle Arsonist Convicted For $1 Million Blaze. Insurance Crime Prevention
Institute Report. Vol. 17, No. 4. 1990.
Abstract: A Seattle man was convicted of arson, which ended a
long investigation by the Seattle Fire Department, the ATF, and the ICPI.
The defendant maliciously caused an explosion that destroyed four buildings
and resulted in nearly $1 million in damages. Investigators determined that
the fire was set in two different places and they concluded that the motive
was financial. They were unable to identify the exact perpetrator until
a witness stepped forward with information linking the defendant to the
crime.
