Term of the week:

Crazing

small, short curvy and straight stress cracks in glass that occur when water is applied to superheated glass, thereby cooling it very quickly. Crazing cracks in glass appear very different than impact cracks. Impact cracks are long and linear and spread out in a straight cobweb pattern from the point of impact. Crazing cracks are small, complicated in pattern, and with no discernable center point.
