A database maintained by the insurance industry that lists property loss reports for many types of incidents, including fire. The database contains information about the loss and claim, including what insurance company paid the claim and to whom the claim was paid. The PILR can searched by a variety of parameters, including claimant, and may contain information of significant value to the investigator such as the history of losses at a property or the history of losses claimed by an individual.
